This league is running in tandem with the 12U & 14U Fall Invitational & Winter League. Games will be hosted on the same day as 12U. Games will be played over the course of 4 weekends from Oct/Nov.-Feb-March. There are several variants based on where teams are registered with the games being played in Calgary and Edmonton.
This is not a High-Performance League, primary purpose of this League is to provide programming to youth-aged athletes who have no previous competition experience, or who do not wish to train at the National Competition Level. It is important for our Alberta athletes to find success and have a place to play. There are more competitive opportunities for our skilled athletes to move to the High-Performance Clubs in each region and be challenged.
The goal for the Youth League is to close the gap and provide games for everyone that needs them whether they are learning, or just looking for those extra games if not participating in the National League. In addition, we aim to help the clubs increase their athlete numbers so that we are able to provide two streams of competition to address the athlete’s varying interests in play.
Community Alberta Clubs who enter the Youth League WP4s will receive the WP4’s rules/format document. We will continue to seek the club's feedback regarding this League for each season moving forward. Please note that we will make every attempt to have teams from opposing cities but can not guarantee this. We do expect teams to travel for this league.

For the 2023/2024 Season, the WP4s 18U age ranges are 2006 - 2009 and the Polo Bears practice schedule is as follows:
Tuesday & Thursday:
7:15-7:45 p.m. Stretching and Dryland
7:45-8:45 p.m. In Water
Sundays:
5:30-6:30 p.m. Water Polo Skills Clinic
6:30-7:30 p.m. Scrimmage / Games
All practices are held at the Tri Leisure Centre.
